why everytime you sit at a table there is a weak player that everyone picks on.  The reason is poker is new an the fact that there is a weak player you need to take full advantage of his/her bad play.  They will chase alot of cards and think that is the way to play.  They will chase gut shots flush draws and also small pairs to the river.  They will not fold so you need to know how to beat them.  Any suggestions on how to beat them.  The winner will get a t shirt from learnpokerfromthejoes.com.

If that player wants to chase make it real expensive for them to chase. If they want to gamble with all their chips to draw let them.
The thing to remember too is if they are lucky and catch is it gonna cripple you. If they are then you might want to re-think your strategy and keep the pots small. is it better to beat a weak player and risk most of your chips or keep chipping at them a little at a time. I guess it depends on how you like to play (a grinder vs all-or-nothing). IMO I would rather keep it small and make them my ATM, making small withdrawls from time to time.

The best play, if you can isolate a weaker player is to PLAY THE OPPOSITE of his/her play.

Option #1 - Weak player is in every pot betting too much on too little.  Here, I would stay out of the way until I had a nice hand and then call his raises to the river.  On the river, check raise or re-raise.  So, I check, he bets, I call - opposite.  Cool

Option #2 - Weak player won't bet on the nuts - even.  Over play every hand for a long term profit.  If he checks, I bet.  If he bets, I ONLY call or fold. - opposite.  Grin

Remember to isolate the weak player now!  Shocked  If the chip leader has the chance to enter the action, everything changes.  Mind your position and keep in mind that no strategy is 100%.  If the play is profitable over time, then you'll lose some but win many more.  Enough profitable plays = profitable player.

Blade, Syphon sounds right here.  If they are chasing, they are checking most flops.  So, do the opposite and bet it up.  The second the weak player catches and starts betting into you, do the opposite and FOLD or at most CALL.

I guess you just shift gears every hand until you felt him!  And yes, I would make sure it was just me and weaky before I start pushing his buttons.
