There are many ways to throw in the towel and say i am beat in this hand. There are ways to see if you are beat. The easiest is when a player calls you pre flop, on the flop, on the turn, and then on the river pushes all in. Lets face it at what point did you think your hand was good. Hit a straight on the flop turn a pair and river a flush. There are many things that can beat you like if you have a 8 high flush. Its easy just to lay your hand down. Its like when you raise 11 times the blinds a player calls and an ace hits the flop you have ace king. The player pushes all in what do you do. You should fold all you have is 1 pair the second lowest hand in poker. Well my story
goes like this. The tighest player at the game. I make it 23 pre flop in a 1 2 game. The player calls i have pocket jacks. The flop comes 10 9 9. I think i am good bet 25 on the flop to get more money, he calls. The turn is a 3 i bet 45 he calls now i have 75 dollars left. The river a 4 no flush no straight out there. I bet 50 i want all the money. He pushes all in i have 25 dollars left. I feel stupid all the signs were there for me to fold. So i fold save 25 with all the money out there. He shows and says why you fold pocket 10s. I am not mad for the 2 outer i am mad at myself to say hey the tightest guy at the table keeps calling me why didnt i just throw in the towel and shut it down. So here are some signs when to shut it down. One he calls pre flop a big raise. Two he calls a big bet on the flop. Three on the turn he calls your even bigger bet, and four he pushes all in on the river all you have is a big pair above the board. If you raise pre flop chances are the player has a good hand. On the flop i could have checked and let him bet and know i was behind. He might have bet 50 easy fold for me there. To throw in the towel is easy all i have to do is let the cards go lol. Even going into the turn i bet. Look the best way some times to get information is to just check. Learn how to hit the check button in your poker game lol.
may you have big pots,
