I just wanted to say that I like the podcast. There are loads of poker podcasts out there but for some reason I take a lot more in from people at my own level, as opposed to “experts”.
The podcast before last (To Pro Or Not To Pro) was very good as I am taking on an experiment. I believe that someone can learn to be a professional poker player, so that is exactly what I’m doing. I was keeping records on how much I won etc but after listening to your advise on the show I have now started to keep records on the stakes I play, how long I play for, the different places I play and so on to see what impact it all has on both my ROI and my profit (or loss) per hour. I’ve made a spreadsheet to work it all out for me and I put the spreadsheet on my site so if you want to check it out then feel free.
Anyways, keep up the good work. Podcasting and child minding at the same time takes a very special skill!

Diesel and Judge,
I just wanted to drop you an email to let you know how much I love your show. I am new to the game and have learned a lot from your pod casts. I play in a home game occasionally and have aspirations to go to the casino and hold my own soon thanks to the confidence I have gained by listening to your show.
O.k. now for some advice... I know you guys have covered it in past shows, but I am playing in a tournament in a few weeks with a $50 buy in with about 20 other guys. I really want to win and was looking for some words of wisdom. Thanks for the time and keep up the good work.

Hey guys,
I've been listening to your current and past episodes for the past three weeks. Started playing at PokerStars and Full Tilt online. As well as on Xbox 360. I'm just a beginner. Several months ago I thought I was really getting good with free online money and I entered a $70 tourney at a local casino here in Kansas City. I made it through the first hour about even and got creamed the second hour. Those guys made me feel like I didn't know anything. At the time I didn't understand position, reading the board, and tilting. It's great to know that there are resources out there like you guys where I can get some sound advice as to where my game is going wrong and where I'm on the right track. I have downloaded every poker podcast iTunes offers and look forward to you guys the most. You guys definitely know what you're talking and it seems you're more on my level.
I just wanted to say keep up the great work and good luck at the tables. If I had to ask one question, it would be: What are your favorite poker books and which do you recommend to really get the basics down?

Hey guys
I just finished listening to your latest show while vacuuming the pool, as you do, cause its summer downunder and getting on around 80 degrees. I know that's not warm where you are, having had the good fortune to spend most of April in Orlando this year.
Anyway, I played a stupid hand a few months ago at my local game and went home way too early. I was pissed with myself for playing it, but that weekend while it was festering about it, I wrote a new song, called I Tilted and I was hoping you guys might play it on your show, it's only 3 minutes long and would make a nice interlude in my humble opinion. See, I'm using the skills you taught me on the show to be humble but persuasive lol.
So anyway, you can download the song at the Podsafe Music Network as an MP3, or I can email it to you. You can listen to it on my MySpace site (see the URL below). Anyway, looking forward to hearing you from the tournament next week and hope you share my song with your other listeners.
Regards
Luigi

Diesel and Judge,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. All the tips you gave me Judge are great, cant wait to get on the felt and take down my comp on thursday.
I just have to tell you guys again how great your show is. I listened to all the episodes twice and feel confident about my game as a result of all your help. I have especially enjoyed Judge's progression. Listening to the first show, it sounded like you didn't know much about poker and now you sound like a pro out of the books I am reading. I listen to a lot of other poker shows on I tunes and you guys are by far the best. Its all about strategy, no fluff like the other ones. Keep up the good work, I look forward to every Wednesday for the download.
I just have one more thing to ask... I was wondering what your guys strategy is on being the short stack and the chip leader. I have found myself in both positions and have blown it in both situations. On Thursday it is likely that I will again be in both situations so I was just hoping for some advice from more experienced players like yourselves. Thanks again for everything. I will e-mail you after Thursday to let you know how I did.
Travis
PS: Gus is awesome, have him on whenever you can!
